Druid & Shifter Shapes

All polymorph forms have been rebalanced. Your armor, helmet, shield, and accessory item properties always carry over into any form.

A weapon feeds a weapon. Any weapon in your hands transfers its item properties to any form that carries one — a longsword arms the Risen Lord's scythe just as a scythe would. (This is a change back: forms briefly required an exact match, which confined shifters to building around whichever weapon their favourite form happened to carry.)

Gloves reach claws and bite only. Forms that fight with claws, bite or slam take nothing from a carried weapon — for those, your gloves are what carry over. The reverse also holds: a form that carries a weapon fights with that weapon, and the attack and damage on your gloves do not reach it. Everything else your gloves carry — armor class, ability scores, saves, skills, immunities — transfers into every form as it always has.

The one ranged form is a special case. Medusa draws a longbow, and a melee weapon cannot simply hand a bow its enchantment. Instead the bow gains attack bonus and Mighty equal to your weapon's enhancement, and your weapon's damage properties transfer to your equipped arrows. You are told on shifting when this happens, because reading the bow alone would suggest nothing transferred.

Weapons carry +8 enhancement on creature-weapon forms and +6 enhancement on equipped humanoid-form weapons.

Shifter bonus: Shifters gain an additional +1 attack per 5 Shifter levels while polymorphed (stacks with form stats).

Wpn = this form carries a weapon, so any weapon in your hands transfers its item properties to it. Every other form fights unarmed and uses your gloves instead. See Which weapon each form takes.

Ancient Red Dragon48363214100Claw/claw 7d12 / bite 7d12, +8100% fire immunity; Breath of Fire; Firebrand; Dragon Fear aura

All three share the same weapons: keen claws, and a bite that adds massive criticals 2d10 and Wounding 5 — a bleed dealing 5 damage per round. Wounding stacks, so a target bitten on successive rounds carries several bleeds at once, each logged separately. The hide also grants damage resistance 40/- against magical damage, +6 saves, freedom of movement and true seeing.

The breath weapon

Each form breathes its own element in a 15 metre cone for 1d10 damage per character level, up to 40d10; Reflex save for half. The save DC is 10 + half your character level + the form's Constitution modifier (+11), so 41 at level 40 and 51 at level 60. There is no limit on how often you breathe.

Blue breathes electrical, green breathes acid, and red breathes fire — the same element each form is immune to, so dragons of a colour cannot burn each other down.

The elemental immunity is the form's own, and it counts against matching environmental hazards: an Ancient Blue Dragon walks a lightning storm untouched, an Ancient Red Dragon walks burning ground.

Which weapon each form takes

Every other form fights unarmed and uses your gloves. A form listed here takes any weapon you are holding, not only its own kind — your gloves are what lend it nothing.

Kobold Commando (and epic)Dagger

Note that Medusa is the one ranged form, and the two minotaurs differ: the ordinary one swings a battleaxe, the epic one a greataxe.
