Purple Dragon Knight
The PDK has a fully custom ability system built around timed auras and several active abilities.
Durations
Most PDK abilities last 1 turn per PDK level (1 turn = 1 minute), so a level 20 PDK gets 20-minute effects. While standing inside an ally aura the buff refreshes automatically; it fades shortly after you leave the aura or the aura ends.
Aura radius scales with PDK level:

Proficiencies
The PDK is automatically granted the following proficiencies at level 1:
- Light, Medium, and Heavy Armor Proficiency
- Shield Proficiency
- Simple, Martial, and Exotic Weapon Proficiency
Rallying Cry (timed aura)
Grants allies within range an attack and damage bonus. The aura lasts PDK level turns. Recasting refreshes the duration. Only one ally aura (Rally or Shield) can be active at a time.

- Level 15+: Also grants allies +2 Will saves.
- Level 25+: Also grants allies immunity to fear.
Heroic Shield (timed aura)
Grants allies within range damage reduction. The aura lasts PDK level turns. Recasting refreshes the duration. Replaces Rallying Cry if active.

Commanding Presence (active, 1 use/day, requires PDK level 5)
A timed enemy aura that debuffs non-player hostiles within range. It lasts PDK level turns and cannot be dismissed early — once activated it runs its full duration. Enemies make a Will save when they enter range and periodically while they remain in it.
Save DC: 10 + (PDK level / 2) + CHA modifier
On a failed save, enemies receive:

If the target also has the Oath of Wrath mark, the DC increases by 2 and the save penalty increases by 1.
Inspire Courage (active, uses per day)
Grants all nearby allies a temporary combat burst.

- Level 20+: Also grants fear immunity for the duration
Oath of Wrath (active, uses per day)
Marks a single hostile non-PC target with a debuff aura.
Duration: PDK level turns.

The mark also increases Commanding Presence save DCs against this target.
Final Stand (active, uses per day)
An emergency ability that pulses outward from the PDK and affects all allies within 10 meters.
